A fern garden with a stone water rill

A shaded garden planted for texture: tree ferns, hostas, phormiums and grasses around a raised rill, with a stone face at its head and a dark stone coping along its edge.

The garden was designed in 3D first, so the rill, the planting and the paths were drawn and agreed before the work began. The 3D design is the last picture in the gallery.
